Thoughtful and well-written update Guy, I’m glad you’re on the other side of another thing you need to be on the other side of!

I understand totally about ADT and its emotional turbulence and the drip drip of attrition on exercise especially running. I didn't have chemo but I do rage rage at the slowing of the pace.

Things appear to be turning around for me,well we will see. Pace on the up after 2 years diving down

I admire your resilience and fortitude. Hey keep going mate.

We share one common factor in this coping journey, a supportive partner; give Petra respect and regards as I do every day to Lynn. two more radiotherapy sessions and life recommences, yay!

Of that, absolutely no doubt. Without Petra's daily support I would be a basket case.

Watch out for the building fatigue after radiotherapy finishes. My experience was that it kept building for about three weeks after the last session, then finally started to reduce.

Congratulations on your recovery. I'm intrigued by the exercise stats - 3000 calories for me would be ~5 hours of running or ~8 hours of crossfit, which seems like a lot of exercise for post-OCR me, who admittedly had done more than that in a day...

That sounds in the right ballpark. At my current rather overweight state my smartwatch reckons that I burn about 13 calories a minute running, and my rowing machine reckons I burn around 7-8 calories a minute.

So 4ish hours of running, or 6-7 hours on the rowing machine.

Or put otherwise, I reckon that I burn around 150 calories a mile running. So circa 20 miles a week.

Clearly I need to get back in shape...
